How Bi-Weekly Collection Works

  • Tracy residents receive bi-weekly recycling on alternating weeks.
  • If you live on the west side of Tracy Boulevard, recycling is collected on the weeks highlighted in blue.
  • If you live on the east side of Tracy Boulevard, recycling is collected on the alternating weeks.

Holiday Service Changes

Collection service occurs as scheduled on most holidays. Service is delayed by one day only when collection falls on or after the observed holiday closure(s). If your regular collection day falls on or after an observed holiday closure, your pickup will occur one day later that week.

Holiday Tree Recycling & Seasonal Disposal Tips

Residents with individual cart service may place natural holiday trees at the curb at no charge on their regular collection day from December 26 through January 10. Trees must be free of lights, ornaments, tinsel, and stands. Trees set out after January 10 may be collected for a fee.

Apartment communities and businesses may arrange on-site holiday tree collection by calling (209) 835-0601.

Extra Holiday Waste & Recycling

If you have additional waste or recycling due to holiday gatherings, extra service options are available. For assistance with overflow or special collection needs, call (209) 835-0601.

Holiday String Lights

Holiday string lights should not be placed in trash or recycling carts, as they can tangle in equipment and cause damage.

Please check with local hardware or home improvement stores for holiday light recycling programs.
